Sr Software Engineer

Position Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack developer with expertise in Java Spring, Angular, Amazon Web Services and HRMS technology to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of one or more programming languages, object-oriented programming, real-time processing, and software development methodologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for our Human Resources platform TanishHR.

Key Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java based software applications for our HRMS technology system TanishHR Suite.
• Work with other team members to identify and refine business innovations and new concepts.
• Evaluate, identify, and refine latest software frameworks, methodologies in the process of designing the product features.
• Understand both business and technical requests and requirements and integrate those needs into TanishHR Suite capabilities.
• Develop robust, reusable, and reliable designs for TanishHR Suite which enhance our platform, frameworks, and services.
• Share ideas and concepts with our development team’s members to improve and extend our platform capabilities.
• Identify the scope and objectives of the services rendered through the product and prepare functional and technical specifications. Collaborate with team members to identify new capabilities during design phase to reduce overall cycle time of implementing features into the product.
• Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements. Contribute ideas for making applications better and easier to use.
• Build the code using industry standard principles and practices.
• Build the code to work in cross-functional environments to ensure TanishHR Suite platform capabilities are supported in our products and services.
• Build Database utilizing advanced methodologies to simplify the complex distributed processes in the product.
• Build the dashboards for Visualizations, and easy to navigate.
• Integrate various components of the services by collaborating with other team members for successful implementation and support of project effort.
• Develop and perform system testing and fix defects identified during testing and re-execute tests to validate results.
• Fix all the issues identified through the test execution and retest to ensure the software built is robust.
• Prepare and coordinate communications with all stake holders in the product life cycle.
• Leverage industry best practices and methods. Write documentation to support implementation of best practices. Ensure documentation are version controlled and up to date.

Education, Experience and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science or Software Engineering experience, or related field.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in Java programming language (preferred) or similar language.
• Expertise in front end JavaScript languages and frameworks (Angular)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development methodologies
• Should have designed and developed at least two application which are deployed on cloud native services and maintained the application for at least one year.
• Experience with relational and document data stores such as SQLServer and MongoDB.
• Excellent Problem-solving skills, Strong work ethics and with Process improvement expertise
• Should possess good Listening, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, and Planning.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HRMS Systems is a plus.
